We are best known for our flagship “Spilling The Tea” series, where we provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to discuss topics such as body image, relationships and mental health.
This year our sessions have moved online and we meet via zoom every Sunday. You can find the link to the next session by clicking the graphic above or in our Instagram captions @warwickgirlboss.
We believe in the power of real talk and how embracing authenticity and vulnerability empowers and builds genuine human connection. We all face similar challenges and struggles, you do not have to power through alone.
Wellbeing is the foundation of all success, and we use this as our guiding principle to inform our topics of discussion in Spilling the Tea. We want our members to have felt that the weekly meeting has had an impact on them: whether enabling them to share their opinion, feel the support of the community, be inspired by others’ experiences or leave with a different viewpoint.
I found a group of girls here that understood how I felt and seemed to truly care about putting me at ease. In this one hour session, I felt more at home at Warwick than I have these last 2 weeks.Member of our Society after her first Spilling the Tea
The past year has seen us discuss topics including:
- Pain is a message, are you listening?
- Reframing failure
- Work-life balance
- Recognising self-sabotage
- Productivity tips
- Manifesting goals
We want to ensure that every Spilling the Tea is as interactive as possible. To do so we make sure that each session, while having guiding questions, is lead by what members want to talk about.
We want everyone to feel that they can share how they feel at our sessions: what’s concerning them or share in their joys.
One particularly memorable session was our Valentine’s Day-inspired self-love workshop “I am my own Valentine” where attendees were asked to complete tasks such as love letters to themselves and others.
These fully interactive events are ones that we look forward to continuing and expanding on in the coming months and next academic year.
